I had so many dreams and passions that it was hard to stay focused and funnel my energy into one area. The challenge was learning to manage all my energy, curiosity, and motivation. 👉This pattern repeated itself as I tried various things throughout my life. I was bored in a year, so I started a different one at 19. I started my first successful business at age 18. 👉I graduated high school early and started my first business. I was an athlete and could have received a sports scholarship, then my senior year, I stopped everything because I was bored. 👉Before I graduated high school, I had played Piano for 12 years and had a pending music scholarship that I never accepted. 👉I had this strange pattern as a kid that I would achieve great heights and right before reaching the peak, I turned away and did something different. I was a high achiever, but I didn’t realize it till later. This isn’t fun when you’re in high school. 👉At a young age, I was different from others. ❓❓❓What makes someone a high achiever? 👇👇 #qualityoflifematters #selfawareness #coaching #leadselftoleadothers #sustainableenrichment #selfdiscovery #newverme #leadershipdevelopment #personalleadership #hope #calmness #forbes #harvardbusinessreview #internationalcoachingfederation #learninganddevelopment #lifecoaching #leadershipcoach #faculty #facilitation #teams #organisations #entrepreneur #entrepreneurmindset #growthmindset #setboundaries #selfcare #success #individuals #empoweredmindset #growthmindset #selfimage #confidence While you choose to ponder on that, allow me to get back to my Sunday morning tea and palms

How to change the narrative and become a #NewVerMe? How to still make those decisions, focus on the big picture and do what needs to be done? * Our narrative coming from our default self * Our narrative about being left with ‘no option’ (which imo, is also an option) * Our narrative about decisions we avoid to make (playing ostrich?)

* Our narrative about decisions we never thought we’ll have to make What stops us and what guides us - especially in times of those big decisions (small too?) Choosing not to take a decision is also a decision. Or maybe the same ones? Making the decision of what we choose is the only constant. Your work ultimately helped make thousands of devices more secure and bring us into alignment with current Oracle Java licensing terms.Life surprises us with choices - lots of them and probably ever changing too. The tests you performed helped in refining the automated approach for bringing devices that need JAVA up to date and removing it from devices not in need of the products. So, thank you John for your careful testing. He not only tested it in these departments, but took the lead in actually fully updating the devices in these areas as needed. He took the lead running tests with H/R and Procurement department devices. John volunteered to do that because most of the Stony Brook Research Office devices use JAVA and he was concerned about the impact on his customer base. We needed to test the impact of JAVA upgrades and removals from devices in several areas known to actively use JAVA. There are over 80 known significant vulnerabilities in the 8u202 alone.

In addition, Oracle stopped addressing security flaws in the older, free, license versions. In short, Java products released after 8u202 and 7u80 now need to be covered by a paid license. "Oracle recently changed the licensing model for their Java products.
